The 53rd Annual General Meeting of the Scotland–China Association will be held on Saturday, 1st June in Abden House, home of the Confucius Institute for Scotland in the University of Edinburgh. The business meeting will begin at 11:30am, with coffee and tea served from 11am.

Following the AGM, a buffet lunch will be served.

New members are needed, both to support our activities and to bring new enthusiasm and ideas to our committees. We very much hope that some members will put themselves forward, or propose others, to serve on the Branch and/or National committees.

After the meeting and before lunch we will have a very special presentation by David Rosier on "Chinese Imperial Court Costume: A Journey through the Imperial Wardrobe". He will bring a selection of items related to insignia of rank to display. David lived for many years in Hong Kong, where he worked as a Chartered Insurer with a specialization in medical risk assessment. While there, he and his wife, Wendy, created a collection of more than 500 items, containing Qing dynasty costumes, dress accessories, and related items. He lectures extensively on Chinese court costume and other related topics.

We do hope you will be able to attend the AGM join us for lunch.

Everyone (including non members) is welcome to attend the talk.  email Janice Dickson or   Tom Nisbet to ensure you have a place.
